Van The Beatles en The Who tot de Spice Girls en de Dolly Dots, talloze rock- en popsterren gingen de Foo Fighters voor met hun eigen filmprojecten. Maar geen van die films laat zich vergelijken met Studio 666, een horrorkomedie die de bloedkraan ver opendraait. Om inspiratie op te doen voor een nieuw album, haalt Foo Fighters-frontman Dave Grohl de rest van de band over om hun intrek te nemen in een oud landhuis. Het is niet de bijzondere akoestiek die de band daar houdt, maar een creepy altaar in de kelder, een occult boek en een reeks krankzinnige moorden. Studio 666 is met zijn old school practical effects, knipoogjes naar horrorklassiekers en leuke cameo’s een feest voor de horrorliefhebber.

From the Beatles to The Who to the Spice Girls, many rock and pop stars preceded the Foo Fighters with their own film projects. But none of their films can be compared to Studio 666, a horror comedy drenched in blood. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl convinces the rest of the band to move into an old mansion to gather inspiration for their new album. It’s not the noteworthy acoustics keeping the band there, but a creepy altar in the basement, an occult book and a series of bizarre murders. Studio 666, with its old school practical effects, nods to horror classics and cameo’s, is a feast for every horror fan.
